"The Prince"

Final Fantasy Versus XIII’s protagonist or the “Prince” as he has appropriately been dubbed by the Square Enix community is the last surviving heir of a royal family that rules over the only remaining kingdom in possession of a crystal. The Prince seems to be the sole defender of the crystal, as shown in the Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer that was bundled with the CLOUD DVD – in the trailer the Prince is shown fending off an entire army, using a range of abilities from teleportation to the summoning of weapons.

It is believed that the Prince possesses abilities such as teleportation and summoning due to the fact that he has been blessed by the crystal that he fights to protect, however this hasn’t yet been confirmed. Other than that we don’t really know anything about the Prince, but what we do know is that his abilities are definitely going to make Final Fantasy Versus XIII’s game play somewhat interesting to say the least.

The Prince has also been seen accompanied by three other men, presumably his friends – so far we know that one of Final Fantasy Versus XIII’s characters is a blonde haired, shotgun wielding joker – another has a scar other his eye and the final confirmed character has spiked up hair, wears glasses and has been seen driving the Prince around the kingdom that he resides in.

Female Antagonist

We don’t really know anything about this woman’s motives, however Square Enix have confirmed that she will be one of Final Fantasy Versus XIII’s antagonists. Due to the fact that we’ve only seen pictures of her in magazine scans, and not in a trailer we don’t actually know anything else about her.

Robed Man

Though this hasn’t been confirmed, we believe this man to be another antagonist of Final Fantasy Versus XIII – mainly due to the fact that he’s been seen attacking the Prince with some pretty lethal magic, similar to that his own. The robed man has been seen using a few of the Prince’s abilities, in particular he has been seen summoning a huge array of weapons to use at his disposal.
